Article by Angela Benjamin, of Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Miami-Dade Division (MDFAWL):
MDFAWL held a Table for Eight dinner with Third District Court of Appeal Judge Thomas Logue at Seasons 52 in Coral Gables. This was the first time MDFAWL has hosted a state appellate judge at a Table for Eight. During dinner, Judge Logue shared anecdotes and practical advice with attendees.
Judge Logue answered questions about his path to becoming a Third District Court of Appeal judge and the appellate process. Judge Logue also shared his insights on oral argument and when he finds it helpful. When asked about his advice for anybody interested in trying to become a judge, Judge Logue highlighted personal relationships among peers and always being professional and respectful, even to opposing counsel.
On behalf of MDFAWL, the State and Federal Court Liaison Committee thanks Judge Logue for joining us for a delicious dinner and fruitful discussion at Seasons 52.
