Florida Vaccine Exemptions for School & Childcare

Florida still requires the standard childhood immunizations for school and licensed childcare, and it still recognizes two exemptions: a religious exemption (Form DH 681) and a medical exemption (recorded on Form DH 680). Florida does not offer a personal-belief or philosophical exemption. You may have seen news in 2025–2026 about Florida moving to end vaccine mandates; as of the date above, that effort did not become law. We review these laws every quarter and update the course when they change.
